Manage Videos is the full list of your library and the place for everything you can do to a video, one at a time or in bulk. This guide goes through the page in full; Search and Filtering covers the filters.
1. The list
Each entry shows the poster, the name, the file path, the date it was added, Play and Edit buttons, and then its Organization (categories, groups, genres, tags), Skips, Transcode state, and Status. Columns picks which of those show. The Video header sorts by name, location, date added, or length; the Transcode and Status headers sort on themselves. Page size goes from 25 to 1000.
2. On a single video
- Rename: click the name or its pencil and edit in place. Enter saves, Escape cancels. The file on disk keeps its name.
- Thumbnail: click the poster to upload an image, point at one on the web, or take a random frame of the video. Poster art from the web comes from the actions menu, with Get thumbnail with AI.
- Intro and Credits: the skip points the player uses.
The three dots open the actions menu, in groups: Video (play, edit, add subtitles), Organization (by hand or with AI), Chapters, Thumbnail, Visibility (hide, kid friendly), Transcode, and the danger zone: remove the video from TvT, which moves the file aside so it is not imported again, or destroy it, which deletes the file for good.
The pencil on the menu opens the customizer: drag items into your order, add headers and dividers, remove what you never use and add it back later. It is per profile, and the same menu shows as All actions on the watch and edit pages.
3. In bulk
Tick videos and the bulk bar appears at the bottom. Its pinned actions are the quick ones; the pencil on the bar picks which are pinned, and All actions has every bulk action: rename with a pattern, mashup, chapters, organize by hand or with AI, thumbnails, skip times, visibility, transcode, and the danger zone.
Select all on this page ticks the page, and the banner then offers every matching video in the library, so a bulk action can cover thousands, not just the page on screen.
Good to know
- Hidden videos stay in the library but leave the home page; the Status filter finds them again.
- Kid friendly is what a Kids profile is allowed to see.
